# Shipped: NFC on the wristband

A diary entry about the NFC wristband, now available: it opens the tab on the way in, records every order at the counter and at the tables, and closes the tab on the way out.

- **Date:** 18 March 2026
- **Reading time:** 2 minutes
- **Author:** Oasys team

## Where it came from

A customer at Bar do Zé suggested it, and three other houses asked for it.

## What it does

The NFC wristband opens the tab on the way in, records every order at the counter and at the tables, and closes it on the way out. It works with disposable paper wristbands and with reusable silicone ones.

## Where it fits

It fits the flow of a packed bar where people are standing. Nobody has to chase a waiter any more just to open a tab.

## About this entry

The Diary is where the Oasys team writes down how the product is being built, in the open. Notes from the people doing the building: what went in, what came out, what we learned. It is updated when there is something to say, not on a fixed calendar.

This entry is dated 18 March 2026, runs about two minutes, and was written by the Oasys team.
